Filly Eight Bells got second in the Kentucky Derby.
After the race she fell to the track. Both front ankles broken.
She was immediately euthanized.

So SAD. I couldn't believe it when the said it. 5 minutes before I was saying she was my favorite horse.. and then.. now she's not alive anymore.
I've always loved to watch the Triple Crown, ever since I was a kid. The horses are so exquisitely beautiful, and so powerful, and it brings tears to my eyes to watch one come from behind and win by lengths.
The tears today are for Eight Bells.
Last year Barbaro, this year the lovely filly. I'm thinking I'll give up watching the races.
