Pre-Pre-natal

Yeah, you heard me. Baby number 3 is in the planning stages and we're a month away from... ignition? Take off? Trying? That all just sounds WRONG!

So, anyone who sees this is challenged: 5 must-dos for getting ready to be pregnant. Especially nutrition (I'm planning on a gluten-free pregnancy), supplements that are must-haves, and a GREAT regime for pre-pre-natal fitness so I can go into this STRONG.

I'm already looking into nausea-aids for morning sickness and pre-natal workouts. We're getting a replacement pool key so I can start swimming the boys, just as soon as the student loans come in.

And, yeah, you guys will know if I'm pregnant before I officially announce-- because I don't plan on really announcing I'm pregnant until I hear a heart beat.

Other news: I will NOT be going to the Birth Center this time. They changed management and the drive is too far. I'll be going to NW.

Remember-- you read this! So, you are now obligated to give me 5 TIPS!

Woohoo! I'm the first to comment!

5 Tips:

5: Drink lots of water. (Duh. As if you wouldn't.)

4: Stretch and do floor exercises.

3: Cuddle the boys a lot.

2: Cherish every non-pregnant moment you have while you have it rather than only looking forward to being pregnant.

1: Don't go into trying and pregnancy with any expectations about how you will look/feel/gain weight, just try your best.

I'm really not good at tips, but, there you go! And I just realized it's possible someone else commented but it hasn't been approved, so I might not be first. Oh well.

Whoah. Seriously I have no 5 tips for you because I have never planned that far in advance for a pregnancy. Maybe start saving for new maternity clothes? That's what always drives me crazy when I am pregnant.

I would recommend:
...making sure you take plenty of B-12 for energy.
...make sure to eat something with lots of protein in the morning, protein shakes are great!
...make up extra meals to freeze for when you just don't have the energy.
...don't be afraid to ask people for help, when you need a ride, time for a nap, or whatever.
...remember to TAKE CARE OF YOU TOO! you have a husband and family that needs to step up and help out. It is the only way to survive.

Congratulations on your decision! I wish you health, happiness and the strength the endure your upcoming physical trials.

1. Pregnancy Pilates. I sold mine last year. Sorry! There are several excellent ones.

2. If you have a good workout regime before you are pregnant, most doctors say you can continue with it throughout the pregnancy. Just remember no sit-ups if you even THINK you could be pregnant.

3. Yams/ Sweet potatoes are full of nutrients, don't smell bad if you have m/s, and are quickand easy to prepare.

4. Eat lots of folic acid!!! Especially now that youhave had a couple of children.

5. Fast and pray and fast and pray and read your scriptures. Stay very close to Heavenly Father

Sneaking in a number 6... Keep a really good, detailed journal so that when you get discouraged, you can remember why you wanted this. :)

Just some things that worked for me.

Love you.

rub your hubby's ear lobes. slowly, with a circular motion. I don't know if it will work for you, but that's how we got our babies.

good luck with the other 4 suggestions.
