You know that piece of chocolate cake...

You know that piece of chocolate cake nobody ate that disappeared? How
about that pizza that just vanished from the office fridge? What about
all those socks that "vanish" in the dryer.

You may have a trebble problem.

These little furry creatures may look cute, but they can and will eat ANYTHING. Even rocks.

Yes, I said rocks.

They have a never-ending appetite, so beware! Letting this little creature into your life means plenty of adventure!

Needlefelted
by hand, this little monster is alpaca primarily with a coat of
dreamy-soft angora bunny furr. His dyed sections were dyed with
kool-aid and are non-toxic.

This trebble is a figurine, not a toy, and I doubt he would stand up to rough treatment.

Are you ready to welcome Trebble Trouble into your life?

I have an addiction...

I have an addiction. It's actually quite serious.

I'm addicted to FIBER. I'm not talking about FOOD fiber-- I'm talking the fiber that used to be part of an animal-- alpaca, rabbit, sheep... I love the textures, the feels, and I am completely and helplessly addicted to creating things out of this raw stuff.

I dye it with Kool-Aid.
I spin it.
I felt it. (wet and dry)
I knit it.
I crochet it.
I weave it.

I will warn you-- once you open the door to doing any of these things you are in TROUBLE. You will be caught-- and you will be making things for the rest of your life.

Seriously, though-- discovering the Fiberarts has brought so much joy and purpose to my life. I love it!

Things I love...

I love nursing my baby. He's almost 18 months old and I swear I love it more and more as he gets older. He really appreciates the time that I take to nurse him-- he hums to me, looks me in the eyes... and all around it is our time. We take joy in each other through every nursing session-- be it a toddler's brief 'snack-run' or a real snuggle at bed time. He pats me, kisses me, talks about loving 'boo-boos' and all around it is OUR time. It is precious and wonderful. I wish everyone could have that experience.

It wasn't always easy for me. Especially with Drew. In the beginning, breastfeeding was so hard for me. Now it is as natural as breathing.

And so, when I saw this I wanted to share.

My Dad is Italian Almond Torrone

I was playing around on etsy this morning amid resolving crises (puppy tried to eat bunnies this week and we've been nursing them back to vivacity among other more normal daily trivialities... like the fact that the play room has empty buckets and the floor is COVERED in toys! How DOES that happen?)

I made a discovery...

My Dad is an Italian Almond Torrone.

How good does that look?

Yes... he's sweet as honey-- and more than just a little nutty!

Perfecto!

What confection are you?

Very Interesting...

I'm going to step outside my ordinary and tell anyone and everyone who comes across my blog to check out a following link. First, I'm going to tell you-- I honestly believe this is a step towards going green. I also think this is a great thing for women's health. And, I think this creative person deserves some recognition.
